Services- Family Law Costs
We prepare Bills; Claim 1’s; Claim 1a’s; Solicitor/Own Client Bills and also Complex High Costs Case Plans and ensure that costs are maximised to their full potential.
Upon returning your file, a detailed Cost Draftsman’s Note shall be attached, which shall provide all relevant information and highlight any potential problems.
In respect of the High Costs Case Plans, as the same consist of largely projected future costs, the department works closely with clients, to take into allowance the Court timetable, to gain an insight into the future work to be undertaken, which assists greatly when preparing the Case Plans.
Upon submission of the Case Plan, we liaise with the Legal Services Commission, in order to deal directly with any queries which they may have and thus expediting matters on our Clients behalf to ensure that a contract is agreed/Claim for Costs is dealt with.
In respect of Care Proceedings matters, we pride ourselves on considering the merits and complexity of each individual case and in seeking a reasonable additional enhancement, for which we provide thorough justifications as to why the same is sought, for consideration by the District Judge upon Assessment.
We aim to turn around files within 14-21 days.
There are also instances when our clients need a file turning round on an Urgent basis and accordingly where necessary, such matters shall be prioritised and returned within the required timescale.
We are always available to provide Clients with advice / guidance and to answer any queries.

We would particularly welcome any feedback as regards to enhancements claimed and whether they are being allowed upon Provisional Assessment by the Court.
